Thank you so much! I'm new at this site so it's really encouraging for me to hear Yes I prefer pencil sketches. As it was drawed with all my heart it didn't really take so long (I know all his features by heart^^) - maybe 1 hour?
And I really like your deadbird. The red watercolour really gives a strong and longingly expression to it. very moving. I love watercolour although I never get used to using it myself
Thanks! The watercolor was an afterthought, but I think it helped the picture a lot. I'm not very good at watercolor either, so the fact that it turned out well was an accident.
Thanks a lot! Yeah, after quite a while of daydreaming I thought that it should be possible to use my fantasy a bit more reasonable - e.g. to eternalize him by a drawing *gg* Well, but I'm terrible at landscapes. Have spent a day in the park but was that much disappointed I'll never learn it
Never say never! I used to think that I could never be able to draw people, but I can - it just takes a lot of practice! That being said, I can barely draw anything without looking at the subject...you got that down pretty good.
Mh...well...^^Still have little disagreements with my colours - they're rarely doing what I expect them to^^ No, really - I get scared by the though that I cannot change anything when a mistake occures that's why I've only managed to make something with acryl - whenever anything goes wrong, just put another colour on it^^ Suppose, it isn't that easy with watercolours, additionally I'm to little subtle while painting to get freind with it although I love watercolour paintings done by other people.

You did this without him to look at? That's amazing work! I am terrible at human portraits, even in the best of times.
Good proportions with his features.
Welcome to dA!
